A float and sink activity is a simple, hands-on science experiment where you drop various objects into a container of water to see which items stay on top (float) and which go to the bottom (sink). It teaches basic physics concepts like density, weight, and buoyancy.
Materials Needed: : A large plastic tub, bucket,stone 🪨 ,Leave or sink filled with water.
How to Do the Activity...........
🧪🔭Fill the container: Put water in your tub or sink.
Make predictions: Pick up an object and ask, "Do you think this will float or sink?"
Test the object: Drop the item into the water and watch what happens.
Sort and discuss: Group the items into a "float" pile and a "sink" pile. Talk about why heavy or dense items sink and light or hollow items float.
