The ‘leaf’ in the phrase doesn’t refer to the leaf on a tree 🍃 , but rather the pages in a book 📖. The pages of the book were described as leaves in the 16th century. The word for the page of a book in Old English was ‘leaf’ which is the same as the leaf 🍂 on a tree.

Today’s English မှာတော့ leaf ဆိုတဲ့ အသုံးအနှုံးလေးကို ‘leaflet’ ဆိုတာလေးမှာ မြင်တွေ့နိုင်ပါသေးတယ် လို့ပြောရင်းနဲ့ post လေးအဆုံးသတ်လိုက်ပါရစေ။
