Hi everybody! Today I am going to talk about some indefinite pronouns
Bonjour tout le monde aujourd'hui je vais parler sur quelques pronoms indefinis
Some of the indefinite pronouns in English are
Voici quelques pronoms indéfinis en anglais
Somebody: quelqu'un (e) Nobody: personne
Someone: quelqu'un(e) Noone: personne
Something: quelque chose Nothing: rien
Anybody:personne Everybody: tout le monde
Anyone: personne Everyone: tout le monde
Anything: rien. Everything: tout
We use indefinite pronouns to refer to people or things without saying exactly who or what they are. We use pronouns ending in body or one for people and pronouns ending in thing for things
On les pronoms indéfinis pour se référer aux gens ou choses sans dire exactement qui ou quoi ils sont. On utilise les pronoms qui se terminent avec body ou one pour les gens et les pronoms terminant par thing pour les choses.
Examples: Everybody enjoyed the concert
( Tout le monde a apprécié le concert.)
I opened the door but there was none
(J'ai ouvert la porte mais personne n'etait à la maison)
She told him everything
( Elle l'a tout dit)
We use a singular verb after an indefinite pronoun
Exemple : Everybody loves Sali. (Tout le monde aime Sali)
Everything was ready for the party( Tout était prêt pour la soirée )
We use anybody, anyone ,anything in négative sentences
On utilise anybody anyone anything dans les phrases negatives.
Examples : I can't see anybody in the room
( je ne vois personne dans la chambre)
He didn't say anything to me
( il ne m'a rien dit)
There isn't anyone in the street.
( il n'y a personne dans la rue.
We use nobody, no one , nothing in affirmative sentences but the meaning is negative
On utilise nobody no one nothing
Example : I can see nothing on the table.
( je ne vois rien sur la table)
