๐Ÿซ On November 25, a special dissemination workshop for the PROMETHEUS project was held at Dr. Jovan Kalauzi Municipal Secondary Medical School in Bitola. The event brought together secondary school students for an engaging, hands-on introduction to the project's digital platform. Participants learned how to access the website, use interactive tools, and explore the stories conveyed by ancient inscriptions.

๐Ÿ’ฌ During the session, the students actively took part in group discussions, comparing and contrasting themes of success and education from epigraphic inscriptions published by PROMETHEUS with their own modern perspectives. This dynamic exchange encouraged critical thinking and personal reflections on universal values.

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿซ The workshop was conducted by Slavica Babamova, Project Coordinator, Elena Djukeska, Project Coordinator from the Faculty of Philosophy and Filip Markovski, Project team member. It was clear throughout the workshop that the project offers substantial benefits for school students, helping them develop new interests and approaches to learning about cultural heritage.

๐Ÿ›๏ธ On November 24, we presented our PROMETHEUS project at the Archaeological Museum of Skopje, welcoming a diverse audience eager to engage with ancient history and digital innovation.

๐Ÿ—ฟ Together, we participated in the official launch of our distinctive digital collection, which brings together 30 significant epigraphic inscriptions alongside ancient Balkan stories that promote universal values.

๐ŸŽค During the event, speeches were delivered by Magdalena Manaskova, Director of the Archaeological Museum; Oliver Bakreski, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy; Slavica Babamova, our Project Coordinator; and Elena Djukeska, Project Coordinator from the Faculty of Philosophy. All speakers emphasized how we are connecting cultural heritage and universal values through new technology.

๐Ÿ’ป We enjoyed a live demonstration of the PROMETHEUS digital platform, highlighting interactive tools for exploring ancient texts, visualizations, maps, and educational materials. As a practical application, we linked project data to selected museum artifacts using QR codes displayed beside the exhibits, directing visitors to our website for deeper exploration. Our platform supports research, classroom activities, and broad public engagement with heritage from North Macedonia, Bulgaria, and Serbia. We remind everyone that more information can be found at www.prometheus-epigraphy.eu/ .

โœจ We hope this initiative will fuel curiosity and inspire the wider dissemination of Balkan epigraphic heritage across Europe and beyond.

๐Ÿ›๏ธWe invite you to the Archaeological Museum of Skopje for the official presentation of our PROMETHEUS projectโ€”a result of two years of dedicated research and collaboration!

โœจJoin us as we unveil a groundbreaking digital collection of 30 ancient inscriptions and stories from the Roman era, carefully selected from North Macedonia, Bulgaria, and Serbia.

๐Ÿ“œThese inscriptions, written in Greek and Latin, reveal powerful personal storiesโ€”love, hope, family, faith, lossโ€”and offer unique insights into everyday life and the culture of the ancient Balkans.

๐Ÿ”ŽThe PROMETHEUS digital platform not only brings these fascinating texts to life, but also provides interactive tools, search indexes, and teaching resources for exploring these treasures in new ways.

๐ŸคSupported by Creative Europe and ministries of culture from our region, this collaborative project links Southeast European heritage for the first time, highlighting our shared history.

๐Ÿ“ฃThis event is our way of sharing the results of our work and inviting everyone interested in history, culture, and digital humanities to experience PROMETHEUS firsthand. Donโ€™t miss it!

โœจ Our Prometheus project was presented at the 5th Dariah HR International Conference โ€œDigital Humanities & Heritage 2025,โ€ organized by the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek. The event brought together experts in cultural heritage, arts, and digital humanities from across Europe.

๐Ÿ—๏ธ During the program, our colleagues from Bulgariaโ€”Dimitar Iliev (coordinator) and Dobromir Dobrevโ€”presented the session titled โ€œHeritage, Storytelling, Universal Values: The PROMETHEUS Project.โ€ They explained how Prometheus puts a spotlight on the unique stories preserved in ancient inscriptions, using digital tools and innovative research to reveal their meaning for modern audiences. Through a combination of interdisciplinary teamwork and creative methods, the project transforms historical epigraphic sources into accessible narratives that connect people with universal values and shared heritage. The presentation illustrated how these storytelling approaches open new paths for education and cultural understanding today.

๐Ÿ’กThe audience gave some great feedback and showed a lot of interest in what Prometheus has to offer. The conversation sparked new ideas and opened up exciting possibilities for future collaborations!

โœจStay tuned for new updates on our activities!
