What a truly incredible Autism Awareness Day in the Marshall Islands 🤍

Today, we saw something powerful — parents, children, families, teachers, principals, health professionals, support staff, and community members all coming together in one space to stand for understanding, acceptance, and inclusion.

This is how we create change.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, shared their stories, took photos, and stood with autistic children and their families. 🌺

This is what community looks like.

Let’s keep this momentum going — awareness is just the beginning.

As the mural states, “For every child, belonging”.

A special thank you for your support and collaboration:

In many families, fathers carry their concerns quietly. But today, one father shares his journey — from denial to acceptance, and how that brought him peace. 🤍

His message to other men in the Marshall Islands:
You don’t have to go through this alone. Talking, learning, and understanding your child is a sign of strength.

Together, we can break down barriers and build a more supportive community for our children. 🌺 Let’s build a kinder, more inclusive Marshall Islands.

📍 If you have concerns or questions about your child, join us at the Autism Screening Day at the Behavioral Health Clinic, Majuro Hospital on Thursday, 26 March from 10 am.

Are you worried about your child’s development?

Maybe they’re not talking yet…
Maybe they don’t respond to their name…
Maybe something just feels different — but you’re not sure what to do.

You are not alone. And you don’t have to figure this out on your own.

We are hosting a Child Development & Autism Screening Day in Majuro to support families just like yours.

This is a simple, supportive space where you can:
✔ Have your child screened
✔ Ask questions
✔ Speak to trained professionals
✔ Get guidance on next steps

This is the first step to understanding your child and getting the right support early.

If you’ve been wondering, this is your sign to come.

All families are welcome 🤍

Every story begins with understanding.

Today, we share the first of many voices from parents across the Marshall Islands - mothers speaking openly about their journey, love, and hopes for their autistic children.

Autism is not something to hide - it’s something to understand.

When we listen to parents, we begin to see the world through their eyes - and through the eyes of their children.

Together, we can build a kinder, more inclusive Marshall Islands

Every child grows in their own way, but some early signs can help us understand when a child may be autistic. 💛

Here are 6 early signs of autism you may notice in young children.
If you recognize any of these, it’s okay. Autism is not bad; it’s a different way of learning and experiencing the world.
