truly love my job. Beyond the joy of teaching Malagasy and seeing my students grow in understanding and speaking, it brings many meaningful moments.

Last Friday, I had the privilege of reconnecting with four former American students at a wedding. The groom , Jeremy Swedlund, was my student last year. It was a joy to witness the beginning of this new journey with his beautiful wife, Kevie.

The ceremony was led by Pastor Jay and Carey Rostorfer, my students from nine years ago, and Matthew Hurst, a recent former student, served as one of the best men.

The newlyweds are on cloud nine, and we were truly blessed to share in their joy. May God bless their union.

It was truly a joy to finally meet in person my former online student, Oda Hurum from Norway, one of my first 15 online students.
Before moving permanently to Antsirabe, my hometown, she learned Malagasy with me via Zoom.
Tongasoa, Oda. Mitomboa hatrany amin’ny fahaizana teny Malagasy, ary mirary soa ho anao eto Antsirabe.

WHAT ANNIVERSARY IS TO CELEBRATE TODAY? 17 years of teaching MALAGASY. Thank to you all my students who trusted me to teach you our language and made me a very blessed teacher .

It has been more than just language learning — yesterday it was fellowship and quality time spent with my very first learners from 16 years ago. They are now so fluent in Malagasy! Thank you for your visit Patrick and Olivia Keller (Missions Aviation Fellowship). We had such a great time with you.

A productive and enjoyable way to remember the lessons. Good job to y'all especially to Emelie who was the winner today. 🙂

I am so thankful and so happy for a job well done with eight students from the University of Switzerland. They are in Madagascar for a 10-day internship but they took two hours to learn basic Malagasy and some key aspects of Malagasy culture. They were amazing!”
They were not only interested to the Malagasy language and the culture but also actively participated in the activities.
Thank you Chanelle Adams for valuing the Malagasy language so much, and for making this possible.

Malagasy learning Malagasy ? Yeah! Falihery is one of the youngests among them so far. He was born and grew up abroad to certain age, so he had to take courses to better learn Malagasy. Even though it's been 3 years since he stopped the lessons it is nice that he hasn't forgotten me and always visits me when he passes through Antsirabe. Misaotra nitsidika Crionidas Crio

Let me too introduce you missionary Grace Kim . She is from South Korea. She is my student in my classroom every morning since May. Despite our limited use of English and the fact that she doesn't speak French at all, her learning is progressing well. Keep up the good work for those of you in the same situation as her. Thanks to the GPA method this is not a barrier to learning Malagasy.

I Grace Kim indray dia Misionera Koreana, mpianatra mazoto sy miezaka mafy satria voafetra be ny fahafahanay miteny anglisy mandritra ny lesona, ary tsy miteny Frantsay mihitsy koa izy. Mahereza hatrany Grace fa mandroso tsara ny fahaizanao. Ho anareo izay mitovy tranga aminy, aza misalasala raha te hianatra tsy sakana hahaizanao teny malagasy izany.

I am grateful for technology... Simon lives and works in Germany and often goes on missions for his job. He learns Malagasy with me via Zoom. It’s not easy for a student to find time while working, but I try to be flexible with the time that suits my student. Thank you, Simon, for loving the Malagasy language, for being enthusiastic, and for working hard."

Is it possible to persevere in learning Malagasy for 12 months??? 3 hours a day?? 😯 Yes, these 3 Swiss couples achieved it 💪because their goal was big. And they have really progressed far now in speaking Malagasy. 🙌🤝
Bravo Philip & Marjorie Graf, Andri & Karina Acaporta, Jörg & Gloria Burkhalter 👏👏👏. And thank you for trusting me.

👉Their testimonial are very encouraging, go ahead and read it.
