"We say " much sand" not "many sands" because "sand" is an uncountable noun.
("much sand" no fiteny fa tsy "many sands" satria tsy azo tanisaina na tsy voaïsa ny "fasika"

Lesson: much + uncountable noun

Many + countable noun

Eg: Many girls, many students, politicians, etc
