Language learning can feel exciting, confusing, motivating, and frustrating — sometimes all in the same week. Progress is rarely linear, and understanding comes in waves.

One small sound can completely change the meaning. 😅

One of my students once wanted to say:
Želim da pijem vodu.
But what came out was something very different… and let’s just say the waitress was a little surprised.

That is why pronunciation matters — especially when similar words can mean completely different things.

Piti = to drink
Pisati = to write
Pišati = to p*e

Montenegrin can be fun, confusing, and unforgettable at the same time. 🇲🇪

One thing that surprises many foreigners in Montenegro is how quickly people discover they know someone in common. 🇲🇪

In a small country like Montenegro, it often feels like everybody knows everybody — or at least knows someone who knows them.

A lot of beginners think their pronunciation is bad — but most of the time, it is much better than they think.
The problem is not sounding perfect. The problem is waiting too long to speak because you think you are not ready yet.

You do not need perfect pronunciation.
You need pronunciation people can understand.
Speak first. Improve later.
