Astin (1984) suggested the so-called Students Involvement Theory (SIT). This latter (SIT) was built upon the belief that "the greater the physical or psychological investment students make in their education, the greater will be their personal and educational development" (Tilstra, 2006).

Leadership, which is one of the most multifaceted phenomena, is "one of the most observed and least understood phenomena on earth" (Burns, 1978, as cited in King, 1990). In this vein, one of the confounding and daunting areas in social psychology is leadership theory. This latter (leadership theory) has undergone nine developmental eras, including the Personality era, the Influence era, the Behavior era, the Situation era, the Contingency era, the Transactional era, the Anti-Leadership era, the Culture Era, and the Transformational era (King, 1990).

In research methodology, "research design stands for advance planning of the methods to be adopted for collecting the relevant data and the techniques to be used in their analysis, keeping in view the objectives of the research and the availability of staff, time and money (Kothari, 2004, p. 32)".

While designing a research study, it is necessary to take into account the following questions:
1- "What is the study about?
2- Why is the study being made?
3- Where will the study be carried out?
4- What type of data is required?
5- Where the required data can be found?
6- What periods of time will the study include?
7- What will be the sample?
8- What techniques of data collection will be used?
9- How will the data be analysed" (Ibid, p. 32)?
