Afternoon drawing - beachside. Trying to capture a glorious day.
Working in a concertina sketchbook made previously in my Raw Narrative Workshop.
Using gouache, coloured pencils, pens and markers….

Workshopping Moroccan red ochre, Prussian blue (Moroccan Nila stones/laundry blue) and walnut ink. Making them into paint and combining with some wax resist. More processes followed - pictured is the beginning.

A painter from the US creating in my Wild Brushes Workshop recently.
We worked with locally sourced fibres and materials, so a sense of Essaouira plays out in the finished object.
Sorry no photos of their mark making abilities……we were too immersed.
