A brilliant start to Day 2 at CASICAM’25!
This morning, we had the honor of attending a powerful and thought-provoking keynote by Prof. Mohamed El Mansori (ENSM/TAMU), titled:
“Convergent manufacturing through smart digitalization to augment resilience and sustainability: ALM as a convergent tool?”
Prof. El Mansori, Chair of the TAMU-ENSAM Joint Cluster AM² and Director of the Mechanics, Surfaces and Materials Processing Laboratory (MSMP – EA7350, France), explored how Advanced Layer Manufacturing (ALM) and digital convergence can support sustainable, resilient, and intelligent manufacturing systems.
His talk brilliantly bridged academic research and industrial application, and raised important questions about the future of smart manufacturing and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

A truly inspiring afternoon at CASICAM’25!
This afternoon’s sessions brought together a vibrant mix of doctoral researchers, industry professionals, academics, and renowned professors from across the globe — all contributing to the ongoing conversation around the future of Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing.
- PhD candidates presented innovative research exploring new materials, optimized printing parameters, and advanced simulation techniques.
- Industrial experts showcased real-world applications and breakthroughs in sectors such as aerospace, biomedical engineering, automotive, and tooling.
- University professors and academic researchers shared cutting-edge studies on mechanical performance, design methodologies, and sustainable manufacturing approaches.
- Throughout the afternoon, discussions focused on the most pressing questions of the field:
How can we improve reliability and repeatability in AM processes?
What role will multi-material and hybrid manufacturing play in the next decade?
How can we bridge the gap between research and industrial implementation?
The diversity of perspectives and the open exchange of knowledge truly embody the spirit of CASICAM’25 — a conference where science meets application, and collaboration sparks innovation.

CASICAM’25 is officially underway!
