Funny story about this dress… I bought it for my trip to Istanbul thinking it would be perfect for the mosques. It’s pretty modest, right?

Turns out, not quite modest enough. Because of the tiny slit, there was a chance my knee could show, so I had to buy one of those disposable ponchos before going inside (swipe to see the hilarity that is my look).

Definitely not the look I had planned, but a good travel lesson for me: when visiting religious sites, “modest” can mean something very different than what you’d normally consider modest at home.

I still LOVE this dress, though. The olive green is so good for transitioning into fall, and I love it paired with cognac accessories.

I shared more ways to style an olive green dress, plus similar options to shop, on Poshinprogress.com. Head to the link in my bio to read the post + shop the look.

One of the best FREE things to do in Los Angeles with kids!

We spent the day exploring the California Science Center, and it’s one of those LA spots that works whether your kids are little or getting into the tween/teen years. There are so many hands-on exhibits, from space and ecosystems to the human body, that they’re actually learning without it feeling like a “learning” day. And did I mention general admission is FREE?! Learn more at Californiasciencecenter.org.

Save this Paris hidden gem, one of my favorite finds in Montmartre only a short walk from Sacré-Cœur.

Tucked away on a quiet street in Montmartre, you’ll find beautiful gardens, an adorable café, incredible views AND an actual working vineyard right next door. 🍇🌿

I loved Musée de Montmartre for the history and getting to see what this neighborhood was like when artists actually lived and worked here. But my favorite part might have been having lunch at the little garden café. It’s such a beautiful spot to sit for a while, especially after walking around Montmartre all morning.

And yes, there’s actually a vineyard in the middle of Montmartre! Clos Montmartre is right next to the museum and seeing actual grapevines growing in the middle of Paris was not something I expected.

If you’re searching for things to do in Montmartre beyond Sacré-Cœur, I’d definitely add Musée de Montmartre to your Paris itinerary. And head to Poshinprogress.com for more Paris tips and travel stories.

Happy birthday gorgeous! SOUTH BAY BALAYAGE + BLONDES Erin Hofmeister - my LA life would be so completely different if you had never slid into my DMs 7 years ago 😜. I am so glad the universe brought us together.

Musée de l’Orangerie is another one of my favorite Paris museums and here’s why:

Monet’s Water Lilies completely surround you, displayed exactly as he envisioned them, in two light-filled oval rooms designed to feel almost meditative. It’s one of those places where photos can’t capture what it feels like to actually stand there.

And I love this museum because it’s small enough to enjoy without museum fatigue, but still filled with incredible works by Renoir, Cézanne, Matisse, Picasso and more. Details:

📍 Musée de l’Orangerie, Jardin des Tuileries, Paris
• Come for Monet’s Water Lilies
• Give yourself about 1–2 hours
• Book a timed ticket in advance, especially during busy season
• tickets are €12.50 for general admission or €20 for combined d’Orsay and l’Orangerie

One of my favorite museums in Paris is the Grand Palais. The building itself is worth visiting, but the new Matisse exhibition made it even more special.
