This was the view from a patient’s balcony yesterday. I was waiting for a phone call from a GP, whilst doing some paper work.

As I sat here, I took a moment to appreciate what I have…

I have a job

I have a job that allows the freedom of being outside in various environments all day

I have a job that allows me to avoid monotony

I have the opportunity to help others

I am grateful that I have been given this opportunity

But it’s not forever!

I cannot and will not do this job for the rest of my life.

It is draining!

Most days I struggle to keep enough energy for my drive home

On my off days I do the minimal to try to rebuild my energy levels

This job is not sustainable for me but for now I will enjoy what I do and be grateful for the moments it gives me

Take a moment to really consider the answer

Are you doing what you are passionate about, what makes your soul sparkle?

Or are you slogging through the days, looking forward to that one holiday booked or a weekend off?

Why get excited about one weekend off when you can do what you enjoy every weekend?

Working online means you can work from anywhere so why not do that from wherever makes you happy

A fantastic team call tonight with the one and only Can’t thank him enough for the knowledge that he’s just poured in to my brain!

We are roughly 72% water. Without it we do not function. Every single one of our organs is over 70% water

Yet we don’t look at the water or the liquid that we pour in to ourselves.

We may watch our diet and what food and supplements we consume but we skip over the liquids when they contribute to so much.

Is it about time you looked at what liquid you were topping yourself up with?

Get to know me!

I found school boring and pretty easy. I never had to put much effort in to pass. I am grateful for my brain but it didn't teach me to work for what I want.

I left college (sixth form) with alright grades but they weren't what I wanted and not what I needed to get in to university.

At this point, I had already written off studying medicine as I "couldn't be bothered" with how much I needed to put in to the course.

Since college, I worked seasons as an activity instructor. I was fortunate to be able to do this across the globe.

This was an amazing chapter of my life which I always cherish as it built me in to the character I am now and increased my want for adventure.

I found myself back in England unexpectedly and whilst applying for jobs, I applied for university too on a whim and got accepted (at some point I had completed an access course to bump my grades up).

I went to Bournemouth University and studied Paramedic Science. Very early in my course, I knew it was not a career I could pursue for the rest of my working life. I was bored with the mundane every day (you might think it's exciting but I mainly pick old people up off the floor).

I wanted more. I want more. I want adventure and challenges.

I want to push myself physically and mentally.

I want to help people that really need it and this, for me, means humanitarian work. But it's all voluntary.

Paramedics do not get paid much, so to take 3-6 months off work to go work in a humanitarian crisis is not sustainable financially.

Therefore, I needed something else and that is when I came across the potential for an online business.

This allows me to spend my off days adventuring whilst still saving money for the bigger dreams.

This business is also teaching me all the things that school never did: how to change and strengthen my mindset, self discipline, confidence, money mindset and so much more, all whilst being connected to a fantastic community!!

And that's where I'm at currently.

I was privileged to live on a ship for nearly a year and a half in total.

It was fantastic!

Visited rural, only accessible by boat places.

Different day, different place.

But there was restrictions to what I could see and how much time I spent off the ship because I was working.

Working was pretty good: I worked outdoors and had access to parts of the ship that no one else really did.

But it was still work.

And anyone that's worked on a cruise ship knows that the rules can be stifling.

So what would be better...

Being my own boss...

Sailing with no work...

Travelling with no time restrictions...

Maybe on my own chartered ship 🤷‍♀️

Who knows

But having a business where I can work from absolutely anywhere as long as I have access to the internet is so freeing.
