📢 *IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM THE DEA WEBINAR HELD TODAY – 18/09/2026*

Please take note of the following important updates from the *Directorate of Examinations and Assessment (DEA)* regarding the forthcoming examinations:

*1. POP Draft Timetable Review*

The *POP draft examination timetable* will now be sent directly to *Study Centre Directors* for review following the webinar.

The draft timetable will *no longer be uploaded to students’ portals.*

Students will therefore be required to *visit their respective Study Centres* to check the draft timetable and carefully note their courses, examination dates and times.

*2. Missing Courses / Timetable Complaints*

If any of your registered courses is missing from the draft timetable, you will be required to report it through the *official complaint link* that will be provided.

This arrangement is intended to reduce timetable clashes, especially situations where students may have *multiple examinations scheduled for the same date and time.*

*3. Expected POP Examination Period*

POP examinations are expected to commence around the *second or third week of October 2026.*

However, the *exact commencement date has not yet been officially announced.*

*4. New Faculty-Based Examination Arrangement*

POP examinations will now be conducted *faculty by faculty.*

Each faculty will have approximately *one week* to complete its examinations.

*Two faculties will be scheduled per week,* with the entire POP examination period expected to be completed within approximately *15 days instead of the previous 21 days.*

Please note that this new arrangement applies *strictly to POP examinations.*

*5. New Examination Booklet Requirement*

Students will now be required to write their:

* Name
* Matriculation Number
* Signature

at the *back of their examination booklet before submission.*

Student who are done with their project courses are required to submit a copy of their final project work at the study centre for upload on PAS

NOUN Special Study Centre for NURTW, Garki: ISSUANCE OF EXAMINATION CLEARANCE

This is to inform all students of the NOUN Special Study Centre for NURTW, Garki, that the issuance of examination clearance has commenced at the Study Centre.

Students are expected to come along with the following:

1. CLEARED Exam Slip
2. Recent Passport Photograph

Students are strongly advised to process their examination clearance at the Study Centre before the commencement of examinations. Note that attention may not be given to those who fail to turn up at the exam venue.

*📢 NOUN SEMESTER UPDATE — KEY INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS*

Here are some of the latest updates you need to be aware of as we continue with the semester. Please read through carefully.

*🔹 1. ADMISSION PROCESSING*

Admission processing is still ongoing for students who are interested in joining NOUN for the current semester.

*🔹 2. TMA & DISCUSSION FORUM UPDATE*

There is some good news regarding the TMA portal.

The *Discussion Forum has now been unlocked for most courses.* Only a few courses, are still showing as locked.

For freshers, however, many of the newly introduced courses are yet to have their TMAs opened. This is mainly because the *course materials for those courses have not been uploaded to the e-Learning portal.*

So, if you notice that your TMA is not yet available, don't panic. More courses are expected to become available as the materials are uploaded.

*🔹 3. 300–800 LEVEL REGISTRATION — LATE REGISTRATION NOW OPEN*

For students in *300–800 level*, the late registration period is now open.

💰 *Late Registration Fee: ₦5,000*

If you haven't completed your registration yet, this is another opportunity to get it done. Please don't wait until the final days.

*🔹 4. 100–200 LEVEL STUDENTS*

Registration for *100–200 level students is still ongoing.*

If you fall within this category and haven't completed your registration, kindly make sure you do so early enough.

*🔹 5. POP EXAMINATION*

The *Pen-on-Paper (POP) examination is expected to take place in October.*

The exact date will be communicated once the examination schedule is officially confirmed.

In the meantime, *don't wait for the final date before you start preparing.* Use this period to revise and get yourself ready.

Practical starts today the 14th. Note that practical is not only for those in the science department, make sure you check your courses to confirm if a particular course is part of the practicals.
