*WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A NOUN STUDENT IS ACCUSED OF EXAMINATION MALPRACTICE?*
NOUN Examination Malpractice Process
1. *A student is suspected or caught cheating* during an examination. This may involve unauthorized materials, receiving assistance from another person, impersonation, or any other examination offence.
2. **The invigilator completes a Malpractice Form* and records the details of the incident. The student is usually required to fill and sign a Malpractice Form. In most cases, the invigilator collects the student's:
* ID Card
* Examination Clearance Slip
* Name
* Matriculation Number
* Written explanation of what happened
3. *The report is forwarded to the university authorities* for further investigation.
4. *The student is invited to attend a NOUN Examination Malpractice Panel Meeting.* During the meeting, the student is given an opportunity to explain what happened and present their side of the story.
5. *The panel reviews all available evidence*, including the invigilator's report, documents, and the student's explanation.
6. *A decision is made* on whether the student is guilty or not guilty of the alleged malpractice.
7. *If found guilty, appropriate sanctions are applied* according to the university's examination regulations.
8. *The final decision is communicated to the student.* Depending on the nature and seriousness of the offence, the punishment may include cancellation of the examination, failure of the course, suspension, or expulsion from the university.
*IMPORTANT NOTE*
Being reported for examination malpractice does *not automatically mean a student is guilty*.
Every student has the right to be heard by the panel before a final decision is made.

Good morning, great students of NOUN.
This is a reminder to all students that the TMA closing date remains unchanged and is scheduled for Sunday, June 7th, by 11:59 PM.
Please log in to your student portal and confirm that all your TMAs have been completed and submitted successfully. Whether you handled your TMA yourself or gave it out to someone, kindly take a few minutes to check your portal and ensure that no course has been left behind.
Remember, once the portal closes, there will be no opportunity for submission or correction. It is better to verify everything now while there is still time than to regret it later.
Don't wait until the last minute. Avoid network issues, power outages, and other unforeseen challenges by completing and confirming your submissions early.
If you still need assistance with your TMA, we are available to help. Chat with us through the link below 👇
