Love isn’t finding the perfect person. It’s choosing to keep building the relationship when life becomes less perfect.

We often imagine a soulmate as someone who will always make us feel deeply in love. But healthy long-term relationships don’t survive because the feelings never change. They survive because two imperfect people keep choosing each other through those changes.

Emotions naturally rise and fall. Attraction can fluctuate. Life gets stressful. Conflict happens.

None of that automatically means you’re with the wrong person.

Lasting love is less about constantly feeling in love and more about the willingness to nurture connection, repair after conflict, and keep showing up for one another. In many ways, soulmates aren’t simply found—they’re created through thousands of small, intentional choices over time.

❤️ Real love is not just something we feel. It’s also something we choose.

We reflect on Carl Jung’s understanding that intense reactions to others can often reveal unresolved parts of ourselves, and consider Nietzsche’s perspective on creating external enemies as a way to avoid confronting our inner vulnerabilities. We emphasize the importance of recognizing and embracing these projections with compassion, as a path to genuine growth. We gently encourage viewers to pause and reflect when they feel triggered.

There isn't a single soulmate, and I understand that might be difficult.

You might be thinking there is one person you will fall in love with and live with all your life, but that is just instinctual. We do not live just by instinct; we also live by society's rules, by long-term goals, by values. Finding the one is too romanticized an idea of love.

I long time haven't been here because I had a lot of work to do.

I see many therapy clients weekly. I have heard many life stories. But the ones connected with romantic relationships are my favorite.

Sometimes I wish people knew things before starting therapy. Maybe I should share them?

How to kill a relationship - be emotionally unaware and reject to learn anything about yourself.

But honestly, I don't wish anyone to live that way because then your life will be full of pain and disappointments.

And don't blame yourself if you are the one killing relationship all the time. You can change. You can learn how to stop doing it in therapy. Hope is crucial for change.

In my therapy practice I've noticed that women often don't notice or ignore red flags in their relationships - but ignoring them usually lead to suffering and a breakup.⠀
⠀
That's why here will be the list with the green and red flags that you should remember not only in building a romantic relationship, but in all relationships in your life.⠀
⠀
Following these principles can save you a lot of suffering and lead to a successful and enjoyable relationship that will satisfy your desires much faster.⠀
⠀
However, if you know you are constantly ignoring red flags and don't know why this is happening, you may need therapy.⠀
⠀
Remember that sometimes it may seem to yourself that your partner is criticizing, when in fact he is not - this feeling can be a transfer from a previous relationship with your partner or childhood relationships. If you see only red flags and you cannot form long term romantic relationship - your unresolved transfered should be cured in therapy.⠀

If in dating other says he is not interested, he is and you can't convince someone to like you if they don't. And if you are trying to do that, there is a big chance to engage in a toxic relationship and become dependent.

Please don't fool yourself. Yes, it is hard to be rejected. It is painful and for most of us, it impacts our self-esteem negatively. But that is reality and we should accept, not ignore it. If we ignore it, we will continue to engage in relationships in which we will not be happy.

We learn about relationships from the first ones we see as youngsters.

We learn about the boundaries we see or don't see, communication, coping techniques, and emotional connection (or lack thereof) from what we see.

After that, we are exposed to media such as songs, television shows, and movies. These instill in us tremendously inflated expectations of self-sacrifice, betrayal, and an unrealistic vision of love in which we feel our partners are responsible for our happiness.

We can become learners in our relationship when we let go of our false expectations. We can achieve a higher degree of awareness, a more vulnerable connection, and healing.
