HiFive was established by INGMAR SCHUMACHER and TOM FELGEN in 2023. We are both certified climbing instructors and have been coaching climbers and non-climbers for years. Through HiFive we want to teach YOU our knowledge about training, strength, climbing technique and nutrition, via personal coaching, group courses, excursions and climbing trips.

Throwback to another fantastic weekend in Fontainebleau with the climbing club KKN

Fontainebleau is one of the world’s most famous bouldering destinations. Its unique sandstone, endless variety of problems, and beautiful forest make every visit special. It is an incredible place for climbers to develop their technique, confidence, and love for climbing outdoors.

A big thank you to all the participants for your enthusiasm, determination, and team spirit throughout the weekend. It was a pleasure to share this adventure with you.

We would also like to thank KKN for the many years of trust and the strong partnership we have built together. We love organising these trips and giving the opportunity to experience some of Europe’s best climbing destinations. We look forward to many more adventures together.

After the recent forest fires and temporary closures, we are happy to see Fontainebleau reopening and climbers returning to the forest.

At the same time, the fires are an important reminder to take care of the places we love. Respect closures and local regulations, stay on established paths, take your waste home, and never light fires or use barbecues during dry periods.

Protect the forest. Respect the rock. Climb responsibly.

Throwback to an incredible week of climbing in El Chorro.

In May, we travelled to one of Spain's most iconic climbing destinations. Nestled in the mountains of Andalusia, El Chorro is famous for its impressive limestone cliffs, reliable sunshine, and hundreds of high quality sport climbing routes. From long technical slabs to steep overhangs, the area offers something for every climber while providing breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us on this adventure. Your motivation, support, and positive energy made this week unforgettable. Great climbing, shared meals, plenty of laughter, and countless memorable moments are what make these trips so special.

Travelling together is about far more than climbing. It is about learning, supporting each other, building friendships, and creating experiences that stay with us long after the trip has ended.

Throwback to an amazing weekend in Fontainebleau with a youth climbing group.

Fontainebleau is one of the world's most iconic bouldering destinations. With thousands of sandstone boulders scattered through a beautiful forest, it offers endless opportunities to develop technique, balance, creativity, and problem solving. It is a place where every climber, from beginner to expert, finds new challenges.

A huge thank you to all our young climbers for your motivation, teamwork, and great attitude throughout the weekend. You made this trip a memorable experience, both on and off the rocks. We are already looking forward to the next adventure together.

At the same time, we are deeply saddened by the recent forest fires in Fontainebleau. Seeing parts of this unique landscape damaged is heartbreaking. We hope the forest recovers quickly and that we will be back climbing there soon.

These events remind us how important it is to respect the places where we climb. Outdoor climbing areas are fragile environments. During dry periods, never light fires or use barbecues in the forest. Stay on established paths, take all your rubbish home, respect local regulations, and help preserve these special places so future generations of climbers can enjoy them too.

Throwback to a fantastic day on the Burgenklettersteig in Manderscheid.

The Burgenklettersteig is one of Germany's most scenic via ferratas. Set in the volcanic landscape of the Eifel, it combines exciting climbing passages, suspension bridges, and breathtaking views of the two historic castles overlooking the valley. It is the perfect place to experience the thrill of via ferratas while learning the skills needed to move safely and efficiently on the route.

During the course, we focused on proper via ferrata techniques, efficient movement, equipment handling, and safety.

A huge thank you to Grigor Grigorov and Thomas Lux Your motivation, trust, and positive attitude made it a pleasure to spend the day together.

Throwback to our trip to Sardina with . Special thanks to him, his infinite patience and good company. Looking forward to the next trip with him.
