Now that the applications are closed, you may not hear from admissions offices as quickly as you would like (i.e. tomorrow) about application verification and interview invites.
We recommend coming up with your own survival guide to get through this long period of waiting!
Here are some options for your survival guide:
1. Plan a way to celebrate hitting SUBMIT. This could be going out to dinner or dessert with friends, taking your pup to the dog park or taking a physically distant mini road trip.
2. Plan one fun thing to look forward to/week of waiting.
3. Schedule some professional development courses/podcasts/TED talks/readings to continue to learn and feel prepared if/when you receive emails for interviews.
4. Find someone else or a small group of folks who are also in this cycle to lean on and chat with when you're feeling overwhelmed.
5. Find someone NOT in this cycle to chat with and lean on when you're all feeling too overwhelmed.
6. Make a list of some items you've been putting off since you've been spending a lot of time and mental energy on your application and start checking those off.
7. Print off your application or save it and don't look at it again until you start reviewing for interviews.
8. Keep a journal about what you learn over this time. Some of it may come in handy for interviews!
9. Create a vision board of what you want to see this application cycle and begin manifesting those goals!
10. Come up with a budget and start saving some money for a celebration no matter what your application outcome. Whether you get in or not and whether you get your number one choice or not, start coming up with a way to celebrate making it this far!
What will you do during this wait period?

VMCAS CLOSES TODAY!!!
You did it. These application days are over.
Now here's what you need to know:
1. If you're selected for packet review, you'll receive an email by November that we have everything we need from you. No need to email us. If you're missing something, we'll let you know!
2. We won't know how many students we're packet reviewing until we start processing applications. This number changes from year to year and is dependent on multiple factors.
3. We don't need any fall transcripts. We'll ask for transcripts after interviews.
4. Interview invites go out in late December. Practice deep breathing until then.
5. Go do something to celebrate! Phase 1 is done. Onward.
