A while ago somebody asked me if I was offering vouchers for singing lessons as she had the idea of offering singing lessons to a friend of hers for her birthday. I thought that was a lovely idea and I had never thought of that myself. So I made her this voucher. Maybe an idea if you're looking for a present for a singer friend :-)

Never thought I would be leading and coaching a jazz vocal group but what a great and fulfilling experience to be working with these wonderful and motivated singers. I'm loving it and looking forward to our rehearsal again this evening!

On Sunday 10th June (from 11.00 until 16.30) I will be holding a singing workshop "Singing your Song" together with piano player Frank Harrison. It will be taking place in Hellange at Camille Kerger's house. The idea is that you prepare a jazz or bossa nova song at home and on this day you will get the opportunity to sing it with Frank and work on and improve your rendition of the song. The workshop is for 6 - max 8 singers so if you would like to join us, let me know asap. And don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
You can learn a lot by listening to other singers and the feedback that they will get from either me or Frank. And it's wonderful to be able to sing with a superb accompanist. You will notice the difference!
The fee for the workshop is 80 âŹ.

To all choirsingers, jazz singers and other singers (women Ă nd men!): we will be holding auditions on Sunday 25th March in the Grund for the new jazz choir of the INECC. A pre-announcement!! I will be starting a jazzchoir this year in co-operation with the INECC and a small big band. As this is something quite new in Luxembourg (and very exciting!! :-)) we are looking to get to know singers (women and men!!) who would love to take take part in this. We are looking for enthusiastic and open-minded singers who either have a fair amount of choir experience or who have experience in singing jazz. As we're planning to perform a concert in the summer and the rehearsals will be fairly limited you would need to spend quite some time in practicing and learning the parts at home. We are planning to have weekly rehearsals as of April and probably a rehearsal weekend in June. End of March we will be having auditions for the choir. The repertoire will be inspired by vocal groups like Manhattan Transfer and New York Voices.
