To whom this may concerm …. 😊

“Who” vs Whom” Which is correct?

👉 “Who did you invite?”
👉 “Whom did you invite?”

Technically, the correct answer is: “Whom did you invite?”

But here’s the simple trick almost no one teaches you:

💡 Replace the word with he or him.
• If he fits → use who.
• If him fits → use whom.

Example:
“Did you invite him?” ✔️
So it becomes:
“Whom did you invite?”

Another one:
“Who is calling?”

Test it:
“He is calling.” ✔️ (not “Him is calling”)
So who is correct.

📌 The fun twist:
In everyday English, most people say “Who did you invite?” — and it’s completely accepted in conversation.

So “whom” is grammatically correct in this case but slowly disappearing in modern English……. 😊

Recently I’ve been thinking about how language training is evolving.

Since COVID, online training has become much more accepted and in many cases, preferred. While some training is moving back to in-person delivery, I still see huge value in online learning.

Learners often appreciate:

• The flexibility to fit training around work

• More regular opportunities to practise language skills

• The ability to access specialist training regardless of location especially when working from home or travelling

• A comfortable environment for building speaking confidence

Personally, I really enjoy teaching online and have found it to be a very effective way to support language development.

It will be interesting to see how training continues to evolve over the next few year

USEFUL tip of the day 😊

A very common mistake:

I’m agree with you (wrong)

I agree with you (right)

As ‘agree’ is a verb, we do not need the verb ‘be’ 😊😊

Happy learning and have a great day.

In the professional world, strong English skills help you communicate clearly, build confidence and create new opportunities. In everyday life, English allows you to travel more easily, connect with people from different cultures, and enjoy movies, books, and conversations without limits. When you improve your English, you’re not just learning a language — you’re investing in yourself.
