🔬 What will the world’s best young biologists actually get their hands on this July? The IBO 2026 theoretical tasks span many areas of biology – while the practical exams focus on four: from working with molecular and biochemical processes at the bench, to examining animal physiology and systematics up close, and applying computational thinking to plant biology.

👩‍🔬🧑‍🔬 Each area demands not just knowledge, but the ability to reason, apply, and think like a scientist. See the list of IBO 2026 practical topics in the visual!
