We would like to proudly inform a prestigious award which celebrates the outstanding achievements of students in physics and natural sciences - the "Open Readings Research Excellence Award", established by the Center for Physical Sciences and Technology.

The award is presented in two categories: Bachelor's/Master's and PhD students.
The winner of each category receives a prize totaling €3,000.
€500 as a monetary award.
€2,500 worth of access to Center for Physical Sciences and Technology services (https://www.ftmc.lt/open-access)

„Open Readings“ moksleivių sesijos komanda gruodžio 5 d. lankėsi Vilniaus privačioje gimnazijoje, kur paskaitoje dalyvavo apie 13 smalsių moksleivių. 🎄✨

Paskaitos metu kalbėjome apie mokslinio metodo svarbą, kartu su moksleiviais pramankštinome smegenis spręsdami įvairius uždavinius bei parodėme, kaip robotizacija gali padėti spręsti kasdienes problemas. Taip pat diskutavome apie ateities inovacijas, kurių galime tikėtis artimiausiais metais, ir pristatėme FF bei STEAM centro veiklas.

Moksleiviai aktyviai įsitraukė į paskaitą — drąsiai klausė, atsakinėjo į pateiktus klausimus ir dalijosi savo mintimis, tad paskaita buvo ne tik informatyvi, bet ir gyva bei įtraukianti.

„Open Readings“ moksleivių sesijos organizacinė komanda lankėsi Vilniaus jėzuitų gimnazijoje, kur paskaitą „Mokslas Lietuvoje: raketos, lazeriai, „Genų žirklės“ ir kosminiai palydovai“ išklausė daugiau nei keturiasdešimt 10-os klasės moksleivių. 🚀

Paskaitos metu buvo pasakojama apie Lietuvos mokslo istoriją - mūsų tautos išradimus, kokiose srityse lietuviai ėjo koja kojon su kitomis šalimis ir kaip išsivystė iki dabartinės mokslo visumos Lietuvoje. Taip pat buvo aptarta, kaip mokslas vykdomas Lietuvoje, kokios institucijos tuo užsiima, kaip atrodo ir kuo yra išskirtinis bei įdomus mokslininkų gyvenimas. Paskaitos metu buvo pristatyta, kaip lietuviai atrodo pasauliniame mokslo kontekste ir moksleiviai buvo supažindinti su karjeros galimybėmis Lietuvoje. Gimnazistai aktyviai įsitraukė į paskaitos turinį atsakinėdami į klausimus ir patys juos užduodami.
