Independence Day Message
As Liberia commemorates her 178th Independence Day, I am honored to extend heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all students, faculty, and administrators of Nimba University.
Liberia, our beloved nation, endured great struggles to attain her independence. In light of this history, I encourage every student to embrace peace over violence, love over hate, and above all, patriotism as we collectively strive to elevate Mama Nimba University to greater heights.
Let this year’s celebration foster unity among us, as it is time to put aside our political differences and work toward a common goal by taking our only prestigious institution, Nimba University to the next level.
To the opposition and all elected student leaders, the time is now to unite in the interest of the student body. Let us place the needs of our students at the center of every decision we make.
Nimba University is all we have and its peace, progress, and stability should remain our top priority, especially for those of us entrusted by the students to lead.
To my dear fellow students, enjoy your break responsibly but remember that regular classes will resume on Monday, July 28, 2025. Continue to uphold the image and dignity of our institution wherever you are.
To the faculty and staff, I sincerely appreciate the cordial and professional relationship you continue to maintain with the student body. Your cooperation has been invaluable, and we look forward to even stronger collaboration.
On behalf of the Office of the Senate Pro-Tempore, I wish everyone a joyful, peaceful, and united 178th Independence Day Celebration!
Happy Independence Day
Long Live Mama Liberia!
