(YOCEL) is currently recruiting 77 Volunteers across five counties Montserrado, Margibi, Grand Bassa, Nimba, and B**g. To support the entire Implementation of the Liberia National Spelling Bee ranging from identifying potential schools, training of teachers to distributing the spelling manual to schools.
Numbers of volunteers needed per countries; MONTSERRADO 45 VOLUNTEERS, MARGIBI 15 VOLUNTEERS, NIMBA 1 VOLUNTEER, B**G 10 VOLUNTEERS, and GRAND BASSA 6 VOLUNTEERS. Deadline for recruitment is May 20, 2019.

ANNOUCEMENT

This is to inform all schools across Liberia that registration for the 2019/2020 Liberia National Spelling Bee Has Started.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE 2019/2020 Liberia National Spelling Bee
To be eligible, applying Schools/institutions

Must fall in the acceptable categories (Lower Elementary 1st grade to 3th Grade, upper Elementary 4th Grade to 6th Grade Junior 7th Grade to 8th Grade)
Must have paid fully the required fee for participation in the Liberia National Spelling Bee
Spellers must be in school before the competition begins
Spellers must be between the ages of 10 to 16 years

The 2019/2020 National Spelling Bee reward package:

National Champions:
Cash Prize of 500,000 LRD for the National Champion, all exclusive paid trip to the African Spelling Bee and a laptop.
A Mini bus worth US $ 28,000 for the School of the National Champion.

The Liberia National Spelling Bee is an annual spelling competition amongst learners in lower elementary, upper elementary and junior high that seeks to develop inquiring and open-minded learners with excellent English language skills and self-efficacy. Our passion centered on improving literacy and academic excellence, building a reading culture and celebrating the brilliance of the Liberian child.

Schools, Teachers, Parents, companies, are ask to pay a onetime registration fee of $5USD per child in the following categories (Lower Elementary 1st Grade to 3rd Grade, upper Elementary from 4th Grade to 6th Grade, junior high from 7th Grade 9th Grade) to have their child/student admitted to the competition.
