Local Scholarship Announcement for Undergraduate and Graduate Programs

Date: August 18, 2025

The Ministry of Education is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the Government of Liberia Local Scholarship Program for the 2025/2026 academic year, commencing on August 20, 2025.

This initiative reaffirms the government's commitment to expanding access to quality higher education for students across all 15 counties.

Application Opens: August 20, 2025

Application Deadline: September 10, 2025

Where to Obtain Application Forms

Forms can be collected at the following locations:

Ministry of Education, Division of Scholarships, Ministerial Complex, Congo Town, Monrovia

Offices of County Education Officers (CEOs) in all 15 counties

Required Documents (for Form Collection)

Applicants must present the following documents when collecting application forms:

High School Transcript

University Admission Letter

Current University Grade Sheet

Form Submission Locations

Completed forms must be submitted to:

Scholarship Eligibility & Requirements

Scholarships are merit-based.

Applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 to qualify and remain eligible.

Current beneficiaries with a GPA of 3.0 or higher will continue to receive support.

Liberia–Morocco Bilateral Scholarship Program 2025/2026

The Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco, is pleased to announce 105 fully funded scholarships for Liberian students for the 2025/2026 academic year.

These scholarships are offered at Moroccan public institutions and cover diverse fields across Technical, Vocational, Undergraduate, and Medical studies.

I. SCHOLARSHIP CATEGORIES

1. Technical and Vocational Training – TVET (50 slots)

Fields: Transport Operations, Topographic Surveying, Computer Graphics, Digital Infrastructure, Food Industry Manufacturing, Hygiene and Quality, Graphic Production, Construction, Technical Clothing Industrialization, Civil Engineering, Automation, Electromechanics, Air Conditioning, Networking, Driving Instruction, Metal Construction, Industrial Electricity, Mechanical Manufacturing, Auto/Truck Repairs, Horticulture, Logistics, Culinary Arts, Plastics Processing.

2. Bachelor’s, Engineering, and Medical Programs (55 slots)

Fields: Geology, Biology, Chemistry, Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Telecom Engineering, Computer Science, Programming, Commerce, Education, IT, Agriculture, Mining Engineering, Pathology.

3. Specialized Fields
General Medicine – 2 slots

Paramedical Sciences – 6 slots (Nursing, Radiology, Anesthesiology, Lab Science)

Architecture – 1 slot

Commerce & Management – 8 slots

Agronomy – 1 slot

PROGRAM DURATION

Programs range from 2 to 7 years, including a mandatory one-year French language course (in Liberia or Morocco). All instruction is in French.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Applicants must:
Be Liberian citizens
Have graduated in 2023 or 2024 with at least 80% (“B” average)

Have credits in English and Mathematics on WAEC/WASSCE

Be under 28 years (TVET) or under 22 years (Bachelor’s/Medical/Engineering) as of Sept. 1, 2025

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS (Three sets of each)
Notarized high school transcript and diploma

Notarized WAEC/WASSCE certificate

Copy of birth certificate
Copy of ECOWAS Biometric Passport (valid for at least 5 years)

Medical certificate (preferably from Jorkpen Town Medical Lab)

Six (6) passport-size photos (white background; name/nationality on back)

Statement of Intent
Curriculum Vitae (CV) with active contact details

Two letters of recommendation (academic & professional)
Recent Police Clearance

FPI-FUTURE PREPARATION INITIATIVE is an educational organization and non governmental organization.

FPI- was established to provide learning opportunities for children most especially less fortunate children. Specifically in reading, writing and speaking.

Ben is an educator, humanitarian and an outstanding young man who is open to work with both Liberian base organization or foreign organization including anyone who's passionate about helping the kids of Liberia in their academic sojourn.
