During our early months of dating, I met this amazing man who showered me with gifts, took me on trips, and absolutely spoiled me.
I needed help with something I was writing one day, and my lover said to me, "You are a stupid woman, this is the easiest thing any woman should know," and I felt a severe pain. I expressed my disappointment, and he responded, "So what should I do about it, you're stupid, get out of my face." The start of many verbal insults. We went to the supermarket to grab something, but I accidentally took something else, and he was like, put that thing down your a***le.
He abused me in front of random people, and I was called a piece of sh*t, a w***e, and a bitch via text and chat. At first, I felt I could alter this man who never apologized to me and instead insulted me as an apology. He stopped taking me out on dates or just hanging out with me. He once informed me, "No guy will desire me, I'm dilapidated." I began to lose self-esteem, was afraid to go out with people, and my head was messed up. He went for a new girlfriend.
He found a new girlfriend, and I'm afraid to ask him before he ends the relationship with me because I believe no one wants me. How did I get here? Thank you for giving me a counselor, but please share my story for some encouraging comments; I know I am being mistreated, but what can I do to get out? I feel worthless.
