Meet Our Facilitator: Mr. Hassan Gaius Cooper
The Innovative Africa Institute of Professional Studies (IAIPS) is pleased to introduce Mr. Hassan Gaius Cooper as a Facilitator in Banking and Finance.
Mr. Cooper is an accomplished Finance, Audit, Accounting, and Compliance Professional with extensive experience in financial management, external and internal audit, risk management, regulatory compliance, accounting, and institutional financial governance.
With a strong passion for professional development and capacity building, he has distinguished himself through his commitment to equipping professionals, entrepreneurs, students, and organizational leaders with practical financial knowledge and skills that promote accountability, efficiency, and sustainable growth.
Mr. Cooper currently serves as an Audit Associate III at Crowe Liberia, LLC, where he provides professional services in audit, accounting, advisory, and business consultancy to organizations across multiple sectors.
His professional experience spans public accounting, nonprofit organizations, and development projects, giving him a broad understanding of financial governance, compliance, risk management, internal controls, and institutional strengthening.
He also serves as a Financial Management Facilitator at the EduSTAD Liberia Institute of Entrepreneurship & Business Development, where he delivers practical and results-oriented training designed to strengthen the financial management capabilities of entrepreneurs, professionals, and organizational leaders.
Mr. Cooper is an Associate Member of the Liberia Institute of Certified Public Accountants (LICPA) and a Certified Professional Public Sector Accountant (CPPSA) under the African Professionalisation Initiative (API).
He is also a Level III Chartered Accountant (CA) Candidate with the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG), demonstrating his continued pursuit of advanced professional competence and internationally recognized standards in accounting and finance.
His professional development is further strengthened by advanced training and certifications in Internal Audit and Control, Financial Management, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Microsoft Office Suite, and QuickBooks, for which he is also a certified trainer.
Mr. Cooper is committed to continuous academic and professional development.
He is currently pursuing an MBA in Finance at Cuttington University and holds a MSc in Accounting and Taxation at Heritage Christian University College, Ghana.
He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from the United Methodist University, establishing a strong academic foundation for his career in accounting, finance, audit, and business management.
His combination of academic preparation, professional certifications, and practical industry experience positions him as a well-rounded finance professional and educator.
Beyond his professional responsibilities, Mr. Cooper is an experienced educator and facilitator who has trained university students, professionals, entrepreneurs, and business owners in areas including accounting, financial management, budgeting, bookkeeping, internal controls, and financial reporting.
His facilitation approach combines technical knowledge with practical, real-world business applications. Through engaging instruction, practical examples, and workplace-oriented learning, he enables participants to understand financial concepts and confidently apply them within their organizations and businesses.
