This moment is a powerful reminder that big dreams can take root in small places—and that our work right here in Liberia can capture attention far beyond our borders.

We are honored to share that RISE, Inc. earned a spot among 17 standout social enterprises selected from a competitive field of 105 applicants for the EdLaunch Africa 2026 Incubator back in March 2026. For us, this recognition goes far beyond an award—it validates our daily commitment to keeping Liberian girls in school by breaking the silence around menstrual health. We know that when girls understand their bodies and have what they need to manage their cycles with confidence, they show up, participate, and pursue their futures without shame or interruption.

The EdLaunch Pitch Event in Dakar, Senegal between July 22-25, 2026, was nothing short of transformative. Standing alongside dynamic young changemakers from Senegal, Uganda, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Kenya, Niger, Zimbabwe and Liberia—and exchanging ideas with dedicated alumni and leaders from the Teach For All network across Africa—was both humbling and electrifying. Every handshake and dialogue deepened our conviction that the most lasting solutions are born from shared experience and collective effort.

We left Dakar carrying more than just memories. We returned with sharper strategies, broader networks, and a recharged sense of purpose. Our promise remains clear: “No girl in Liberia should ever have to choose between her dignity and her education”.

To every supporter, partner, and believer in RISE, Inc.—this win is yours as much as ours. We're just getting started, and we truly believe our greatest impact still lies ahead.

On this International Menstrual Hygiene Day, I was privileged to connect with the learners/students of my buddy (John Troon Omoro) from Kayole One School in Eastern Nairobi County, Kenya, through an online platform to discuss the importance of today's celebration.

The principle that "no girl should ever feel ashamed or miss school—which leads to school dropout, imbalanced gender equity in education, and limited economic opportunities—because of her period" goes beyond national borders (Liberia).

Therefore, let us continue to do more menstrual hygiene awareness and advocate for access to safe hygiene products, as well as a world where every girl can manage her menstruation with dignity.

Together, we rise. Together, we break the taboo.

With gratitude and solidarity,

RISE, Inc.

International Menstrual Hygiene Day

For this year’s International Menstrual Hygiene Day, RISE, Inc. proudly hosted a Menstrual Health awareness program at F-Sham of Faith Girls Academy today. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to breaking the silence around menstruation and promoting dignity, health, and education for every girl.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the administration and students of F-Sham of Faith Girls Academy for their warm welcome, active participation, and willingness to engage in open, and honest conversations. Your partnership made this awareness program not only possible but truly impactful.

We also wish to sincerely thank the dedicated staff of RISE, Inc. — your passion, preparation, and perseverance continue to drive meaningful change in the communities we serve. It is because of your hard work that young girls are empowered with knowledge, confidence, and hope.

As we celebrate this year's International Menstrual Hygiene Day, we reaffirm that menstruation is not a limitation — it is a natural and healthy part of life. No girl should ever feel ashamed or miss school because of her period. Together, let us continue to advocate for gender equity in education and access to safe hygiene products, and a world where every girl can manage her menstruation with dignity.

Together, we rise. Together, we break the taboo.

With gratitude and solidarity,
RISE, Inc.

Today, RISE expanded its Menstrual Health awareness program to F-SHAM of Faith Girls Academy, located in the Soul Clinic community. We had 25 students in attendance.

A big thank you to the F-SHAM family for hosting us, and to our ever-dynamic and engaging presenters for their impactful delivery.

Our goal is all girls in Liberia stay in school-their period no longer stops them from learning or dropout of school, contributing to national development and gender equity in education.

We have learned that a successful organization must be curious, resourceful and take ownership with little or no resources.

Today, we officially launched our Menstrual Health program at Globalnet Preparatory Academy, FDA Road, Bernard's Farm Community. This program brought together more than fifty(50) adolescent girls.

Big thanks to the GPA family for hosting us as well as the team represented.

Together, we can make Liberia better by holding onto the goal that Girls in Liberia stay in school-thier period no longer stops them from learning, increasing gender equity in education.

Thanks, keep following!!!
