History of Saint Philus Early Childhood and Primary School.

The Saint Philus Myers Early Childhood and Primary was established on April 21,2024 based on a vision of our dear son Y. Billinton G D Innis,II while on his study tour in Kigali, Rwanda. Mr. Innis shared his vision with us as parents by informing us to make use of our building by establishing a school that will cater to the needs of children in the community and our surroundings. The vision was accepted and we took months to study about the establishment of a school in 2023. The vision was accepted and prayers were offered for the establishment of the school. Saint Philus Myers Early Childhood and Primary School is a Christian institution and a private institution owned and operated by Mr. & Mrs. Bill G D Innis, I. The doors of the school was opened on September 10,2024 with the enrollment of 29 students from Day care to First Grade.

MISSION STATEMENT:

The mission statement of the Saint Philus Myers Early Childhood and Primary School is to develop a community which relates Christ's presence in our daily thoughts, words and actions. We seek to provide an educational foundation that encourages our students to develop their maximum potential.

PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION

As an educator in a community school, we dedicate ourselves to establishing moral values through a program of instruction that develops and forms each child mentally, physically, and spiritually as an individual and members of our faith community.

OUR SERVICES

The Saint Philus Myers Early Childhood and Primary School provides our students with quality education in the area of phonics which enable our students to pronounce well, spell and reading comprehension. Our doors for learning are opened to the public from 8:00am to 5:00am on a daily basis. Our students are engaged into spelling bee competitions and other extra activities including field trip throughout the length and birth of Montserrado County.

SPMECPS is seeking assistance from anyone across the globe and Liberia through moral and financial assistance. We need educational materials such as early childhood education books, toys, wearing (DK) for the kids, etc. We therefore call on you as Liberians, parents, potential diaspora friends, sponsors to come to the needs of our Liberian children.
