As part of ongoing preparations for the Maryland County Spelling Bee Tournament, the organizing team appeared on a live talk show on Radio Phoenix, the official voice of Tubman University based in Harper City, Maryland County.
The program aimed to inform the public about the upcoming County Tournament, share key updates, and engage the community in supporting this important academic initiative. During the broadcast, team members discussed the objectives of the Spelling Bee, the schedule of events, and the vital role of stakeholders in ensuring a successful competition.
The interactive session also allowed listeners to call in with questions and show their support for the participating students. The team emphasized their commitment to promoting literacy, academic excellence, and youth empowerment across Maryland County.

As part of preparations for the Maryland County Spelling Bee Tournament, the organizing team held a meeting yesterday with key county education officials and members of the Maryland County Spelling Bee Committee. The meeting took place in Harper and was aimed at ensuring the success of the upcoming tournament.
In attendance were Spelling Bee officials, Administrative Assistant Paul D. Appleton, Human Resource Officer John K. Williams, A.A to the Resident DEO Emmanuel Siassay (Harper 1), A.A to the Resident DEO James, Statistician Cyrus K. Wea, and Maryland Spelling Bee Committee Chair Annie T. Sleweon, along with other committee members.
Discussions focused on logistics, coordination, and the roles of various stakeholders to guarantee a smooth and successful tournament. The meeting highlighted the collective commitment to promoting academic excellence and student participation across Maryland County.
