ESA’s President emeritus, Michael D. Titoe, Jr.(R), from the Central Bank of Liberia (CBL), and Assistant Secretary General emeritus, Otis S. Bundor (L), from the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning, met at an IMF-organized workshop being held in Monrovia, Liberia.

At the workshop, Mr. Titoe, who is in charge of Macroeconomic Forecasting at the CBL, presented on the compilation and forecast of exchange rate, interest rates and balance of payments by the CBL. He also stressed the need for enhanced collaboration among government ministries and agencies to improve economic management in Liberia.

In reaction to the many concerns being raised by prospective graduates of ESA on the application process, we met with the Chairman of the Department and the Coordinator of the Department and informed them about it and asked them to step in to provide the necessary clarity for all of us.

Against this backdrop, we decided that all prospective graduates should meet next week Tuesday, March 7, 2023 in GH-12 so they can provide us with the necessary clarity so all our lingering doubts can be cleared. The time is 11:00 A.M. please make it your duty to be there so you will get the actual information. Hope to see you.

H. E. Julius Maada Bio- President of Sierra Leone presented a gift to his fellow doctoral colleague, DR. EDNA JONNY at the prestigious Unversity of Sierra Leone ( USL) for her brilliant research in Education Policy reform during the singing of a MOU between the university of Liberia and university of Sierra Leone.

Dr. Johnny currently serve as the president of UL faculty and an instructor at the department of Economics( UL).

She holds a doctorate degree in ECONOMETRICS with emphasis in research and policy reform from the Nairobi University.

Dr. EDNA JONNY alais " Mother of the modern department of Economics ( UL) is a product of Economics Students Association - University of Liberia.
