Some of our students also had the opportunity to share their thoughts and experiences through interviews with the media. 🎤🇱🇷 Their voices reminded us that the future of Liberia is in the hands of young people who are ready to learn, lead and serve.

🇱🇷 A HAPPY AND HEARTFELT NATIONAL FLAG DAY MESSAGE 🇱🇷

Today, as we celebrate Liberia’s 179th National Flag Day, we celebrate more than a flag—we celebrate a nation that has survived one of the darkest chapters in its history. 🇱🇷❤️

Our beautiful country once knew the pain of war: families were separated, communities were destroyed, dreams were interrupted, and too many lives were lost. But Liberia endured. We survived the darkness, picked up the pieces, and chose peace over violence. 🕊️🇱🇷

Today, when we see young people marching together in discipline and unity, let us remember what our country has overcome. The sound of students marching in peace is more powerful than the sound of guns ever was. 🎖️❤️

To the students of African Methodist Episcopal Zion Academy and every young Liberian who proudly represented their school today: you are not just marching for a parade—you are marching for a Liberia where the next generation will inherit peace, education, unity and opportunity.

May we never forget the lessons of our past. May we never return to the pain of war. And may the Lone Star continue to shine over a Liberia united in peace. 🇱🇷🕊️

Happy 179th National Flag Day, Liberia!
From the wounds of yesterday, we build the hope of tomorrow. ❤️🇱🇷
