AFRICAN UNION CLUB, LIBERIA is registered with the African Union Chaptered on July 11, 2016 having paid the registration fees and issued Official Receipt as a full flag Club and now serves as the mother body of the African Union Chapter Club in Liberia; tasked with the fully responsibilities to coordinate, design and implement all projects/programs of the African Union Chapter in Liberia including
the establishing of National, County and Universities Clubs throughout Liberia. On January 28, 2016 at the AU Medium Hall at the AU headquarters in Adddis Ababa, Ethiopia, the African Union Commission Chairperson, HE. Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, commissioned and mandated all Youth Representing their respective Countries at the AU inter-Generational Dialogues to lead the establishment of the AU University Chapter Clubs in all Universities in their respective countries including Liberia. The African Union Club, Liberia was qualified based on the persistent, consistent, passionate advocacy and track record of Liberian Youth Development Worker; Jarius Andrew Greaves that displays an unwavering commitment to Africa and its success as indicated in an official email from the AUC Co-Founder/Executive Director, Ms.Khutso Evelyn Modiselle in January 2016, prior to the AU Heads of States and Governments Summit held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from January 21-31, 2016. The African Union Chapter thus proposes a strategic partnership between him and the universities in Liberia. The African Union Chapter as a subsidiary arm of the African Union to lead and facilitate the establishment of African Union Clubs in all AU member countries’ higher institutions of learning; but with national and provincial leaderships for proper coordination; especially to domesticate and implement the African Agenda 2063 and African Youth Charter and all other adopted instruments of the African Union. The African Union Club, Liberia is being created to access the youth and engage them in furnishing the continent’s prosperity in Liberia. It is positioned as the mother body of the African Union clubs in Liberia functioning within Liberian universities. The ideology espoused by the Chapter is that of Pan Africanism and gender equality. The youth are Africa’s largest resource making up over 65% of the continent’s population. The African Union Chapter endeavors to implement the African Union Agenda 2063 and the African Youth Charter through the employ of African youth towards a prosperous and thriving African society. The youth are of paramount importance to achieve the fruition of the policies created by the African Union and the sovereign African states that compose it.
