๐๐๐จ๐๐, ๐ก๐๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ โ Twelve Liberian journalists officially graduated today from the West Africa Broadcast and Media Academy (WABMA) in Abuja, Nigeria, following the successful completion of an intensive professional development program sponsored by the President Pro-Tempore of the Liberian Senate, Sen. Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence.
The sponsored initiative reflects a strategic push to elevate media standards and enhance technical reporting capabilities across Liberia.
Throughout the specialized coursework, the cohort trained in modern media practices, including Artificial Intelligence in Communications, Public Relations, Video and Audio Editing, and Media Administration. The curriculum focused on providing hands-on skills to help modernize newsroom operations and improve strategic communications back home.
Following the ceremony, representatives from the Liberian Embassy in Nigeria praised Senate Pro-Tempore Karnga-Lawrence for her leadership and financial sponsorship. Embassy officials emphasized that targeted investments in journalistic training are vital to strengthening democratic institutions, improving public transparency, and fostering a highly skilled press media community in Liberia.
