ELECTION COMMITTEE RELEASES GUIDELINES AND TIMETABLE
FOR APRIL 23, 2026 ELECTIONS
The Alumni Association of LICOSESS College of Education recently appointed a Five-member Election Committee to conduct the association’s elections scheduled for Friday, April 23, 2026.
These guidelines are intended to ensure a free, fair, transparent, and credible electoral process. All alumni are encouraged to fully participate.
1. GENERAL ELIGIBILITY OF CANDIDATES:
All aspirants must meet the following requirements:
Must be a graduate of LICOSESS College of Education
Must be an accredited member in good standing
Must have completed and submitted a membership form
Must possess good moral character
Must have no criminal record
Must be a Liberian Citizen
2. REGISTRATION & APPLICATION PROCESS:
Candidates must submit a letter of intent addressed to:
The CHAIRMAN, Election Committee Alumni Association – LICOSESS College of Education, Kizzi Camp, GSA Road
Applications must be submitted via: email( [email protected] ) or hardcopy to be dropped @ the (Office of Dean of Academic Affairs-LICOSESS Main Campus, Kizzi Camp)
All applicants will undergo a screening/vetting process
3. CAMPAIGN RULES:
Campaigning is permitted strictly within the approved timetable
Candidates must avoid defamatory, unethical, or inflammatory conduct
Campaigns must promote unity and professionalism
Equal access to LICOSESS campuses shall be granted
All candidates must share their campaign timetable with the commission
No two candidates vying for the same position shall conduct or launch campaign at the same day and venue
All candidates must submit the name of one observer
4. VOTING PROCEDURE:
Only duly accredited members are eligible to vote
Voting will be conducted in person
Voting shall be by secret ballot
Counting will occur immediately after voting
Results will be announced immediately after counting
5. OVERSIGHT & TRANSPARENCY:
The Election Committee shall supervise and administer the process
Independent observers will be invited
The Committee shall ensure fairness, credibility, and accountability
6. DISPUTE RESOLUTION & COMPLAINTS TIMELINE:
All Complaints must be submitted in writing to the Election Committee
Must include evidence
Must be filed within 24 hours of the issue
Complaints will be acknowledged within 2 hours
Hearing & Investigation
Conducted within 24–48 hours
All parties will be given a fair hearing
Decision:
Decisions will be issued within 24 hours after hearing

Must possess basic knowledge in book keeping and financial management skills
