|“Teamwork Is the Reason Behind Our Success,” Says Principal Gotoe Jallah|
Kakata, Margibi County — Amid the ongoing registration process at the institution, Principal Gotoe Jallah has attributed the school’s growing enrollment and other achievements to teamwork among the administration, teachers, and support staff.
“At our institution, you don’t know the difference between the principal and the teachers because we work as a team,” Principal Jallah said.
The vibrant and seasoned school administrator made the disclosure on Tuesday, August 4, when he appeared on Radio Margibi 103.9’s morning breakfast magazine program, “Day Break Margibi,” alongside Vice Principal for Administration Mr. Roland Michael Tarr Nyumah and Mrs. Lorpu Paye Kanneh.
When asked about some of the achievements recorded since his ascension as principal, Jallah cited the school’s significant increase in student enrollment, the recruitment of more qualified teachers, and successful academic years, among other accomplishments.
He also highlighted the school’s record-breaking performance in its Queen Contest, describing the amount raised as the highest in the school’s history and the first of its kind in Margibi County. He further mentioned the institution’s victory in an off-season tournament kickball championship as well as the Upper ISSA League Kickball Championship.
Speaking about the school’s workforce, Principal Jallah disclosed that the institution currently has more than 39 employees. He said the school prides itself on paying teachers and support staff on a timely basis and is considering a modest salary increment, along with extending employees’ contracts from 10 months to 11 months.
According to Jallah, the proposed changes will depend largely on the school’s enrollment for the 2026/2027 academic year.
“Look, I can boast here that apart from BWI, if we are not number one in Kakata as regards salary, then we are among the top two or three schools here. And the most important thing is that we start disbursing salaries on the 20th of every month. We can safely say that we have never owed any teacher or staff member at our institution,” Jallah said.
Principal Jallah also disclosed that the school enrolled more than 375 students during the previous academic year, describing the growth as one of the major indicators of the institution’s progress.
He, however, acknowledged the contributions of those who laid the foundation for the school’s development. Jallah praised his former boss, Mr. Clarence Thor, for establishing a strong foundation for the institution.
He also commended the school’s church parish and supervisor, Rev. James E. K. Barclay, for providing spiritual guidance and support to the school community.
Additionally, Principal Jallah expressed appreciation to parents and guardians for their continued support. He also recognized one of the school’s partners, Mr. Kollie Barcolleh, CEO of MJK General Business Building Material Center, for his consistent support to the institution.
Jallah said the collective efforts of administrators, teachers, parents, partners, and other stakeholders remain essential to the continued growth and success of the school.
