Meet Darnuweli L. Kpaingba, a Proud Alumna of St. Martin's Catholic High School

We are delighted to recognize Darnuweli L. Kpaingba, a distinguished graduate of St. Martin's Catholic High School, Class of 2024/2025. Throughout her high school career, Darnuweli's journey started as a shy and scared female scholar at St. Martin's debate club. However, with patience, determination, and consistency in her debate career, she earned an honorable ranking as the best female debater in the just-ended Cuttington University Inter-College Debate Championship.

‎ Moreover, Darnuweli's leadership skills were evident in her role as Information Minister of St. Martin's Catholic High School. She also represented the institution in the Voices of Liberia National Debt competition, which further highlights her academic intelligence. In addition, she was a member of the first female quizzing team of St. Martin's in the PETITE competition, where they came in first place in the tournament.

Furthermore, Darnuweli's academic excellence was evident in her consistent ranking among the top three students in her class. She demonstrated a passion for learning and a commitment to academic excellence, which is truly commendable. Her achievements extend beyond the classroom, as she represented B**g County in the Liberia National Academic Excellence Award, showcasing her ability to excel in competitive environments.

‎Currently, Darnuweli is a student at the College of Business and Public Administration at Cuttington University, majoring in Economics with an emphasis in Accounting.

‎ Join me in congratulating this outstanding female scholar on her achievement!

Ministry of Education and UNICEF Sign 2026–2030 Work Plan

Today, the Ministry of Education and UNICEF formalized a new phase of partnership with the signing of the 2026–2030 Work Plan. The agreement was signed by the Minister of Education, Dr. Jarso Maley Jallah, and UNICEF Country Representative, Andy Brooks, at the Ministry of Education.

The Work Plan sets out a shared framework for collaboration over the next five years, focused on strengthening the education system and improving learning outcomes for all children. It prioritizes foundational learning, equity, and system-level delivery, with particular attention to vulnerable and marginalized learners.

Through this partnership, the Ministry of Education and UNICEF will work to improve access to quality education, strengthen teaching and learning, and support safe and inclusive school environments. The Work Plan also emphasizes capacity building, data use, and coordinated implementation to ensure that interventions are both effective and sustainable.

Over the 2026–2030 period, this collaboration will support ongoing national priorities, including foundational learning reforms, teacher development, and improved service delivery across the education system.

This agreement reflects a continued commitment to ensuring that every child in Liberia has access to quality education and the opportunity to learn and thrive.
