REF: OFFICIAL NOTICE TO ALL COMMUTER STUDENTS

Greetings, fellow commuters!

Last semester, the leadership of the Commuter Students Association advocated for the provision of a University Bus to help address the transportation challenges faced by commuter students.

We have carefully listened to your comments, concerns, and input and have been working closely with the University Administration to find a workable solution. We want to assure everyone that we have not been sitting idle — “Man can’t talk all.”

Throughout the vacation, your leadership has worked tirelessly with the Administration to ensure that the bus service becomes available as soon as the semester resumes. There have been several underlying issues and arrangements that required our attention, which is why we remained relatively quiet while negotiations were ongoing.

We are pleased to inform you that we have successfully concluded discussions with the University Administration, and the University Bus is expected to begin operating this week after 18HRS.

The specific pickup times and locations will be communicated in the General Commuters Chat Room.

Important Information

- Transportation will be FREE for now while the pending transportation policy between the Commuter Leadership and the University Administration is being finalized and signed.
- The bus will have a specific passenger capacity and will therefore accommodate students based on the available number of seats.
- Students are encouraged to follow the announced pickup schedules and cooperate with the designated transportation arrangements.

We sincerely appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued confidence in your leadership.

This is a result of collective advocacy, constructive engagement, and persistent efforts on behalf of commuter students.

Update!

Cuttington University to Honor Madam Suakoko

Cuttington University will on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, honor the legacy of Madam Suakoko and officially declare the date “Madam Suakoko Day.”

The celebration, marking her 200th birth anniversary, will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Epiphany Chapel under the theme, “Honoring Legacy, Inspiring Leadership.”

The event will include a wreath-laying ceremony at her gravesite, with government officials, traditional leaders, students, and residents expected to attend.
