The Student Council Government leadership is once again in the hands of the greatest Political Party in the sublime history of LISS the "Progressive Students Party". I'm proud to be the Vision Bearer and Founding Father of this noble institution. Hats off to all the great students that are keeping the torch burning.

I'm frustrated over the attitude of our alumni n former students -look we have celebrated 10 years of existence n no alumnus ever said congratulations to their alma matter, anyway, that's how we are. However, as father to most of u, we have forgiven u, go n sin no more.

Have we given keen consideration to this line in our National Anthem? "WE SHOUT THE FREEDOM OF A RACE BENIGHTED".

The Merriam Webster dictionary defines the word BENIGHTED as stated below.

BENIGHTED:
Adjective: having no knowledge or education.

Full definition:
1: overtaken by darkness or night.
2: existing in a state of intellectual, moral, or social darkness: unenlightened

Example: the poor BENIGHTED soul who do not know about reading.

Synonyms: analphabetic, ignorant, dark, illiterate, rude, simple, uneducated, unschooled, unlearned etc....

Antonyms: educated, schooled, literate etc....

My questions are;
1. Are blacks cursed? Librarians specifically
2. Is the line in our National Anthem wrong? Or it truly describes who we are?
3. Do we need to correct it or leave it as it is?

Oh Lord Jesus!

I'm shouting your name Lord in appreciation of the goods, wonders, miracles, victory, wisdom, knowledge, peace and joy you have given me from the day of my birth till today. Lord I just want to say you're so excellent and their is no God compared to you.

You have kept me alive when my enemies wish me dead but Lord I know its because of your lasting grace and mercy upon my life and for that I say thank you.

You are my protector and I shall lack nothing. You prepared a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anointed my head with oil my cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and will be in your presence forever. I love you JESUS. Thank you Lord.
