PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
The Management of ACIDA through its Teacher Training College wishes to inform school administrators and teachers that it is offering a 6-month Free In-service Training (FIT) Program for Early Childhood Education (ECE) and Primary Education teachers in Ganta, Bain-Garr Education District at the C" Certificate level.
BACKGROUND OF THE FIT PROGRAM:
✓ The FIT Program is being initiated as a result of ACIDA's survey of the school system which shows that most teachers at the lower levels (ECE and primary) do not possess the required minimum teaching credential of C" Certificate.
✓ The Management of ACIDA has also observed that most teachers are desirous of acquiring professional training but what they take home as monthly salary is not substantial to cover the needs of their families and training.
✓ Primarily, the FIT Program is in fulfillment of ACIDA's five years vision (2025-2030) launched during its 5th anniversary in July 2025 which seeks to make Ganta "A Center of Academic Excellence in Liberia", an initiative that has teacher education as core pillar.
