(August 31, 2026) The Registrar of Kpanay Town Public School in Grand Bassa County, Theophilus B. Johnson, has earned a professional certificate from Zhejiang Normal University in the People's Republic of China, following his participation in a three-week international teacher exchange program.

Johnson was among 38 teachers selected and vetted by Liberia's Ministry of Education to represent educators serving in rural communities across the country. The group traveled to China to take part in a Cultural Exchange Program designed to broaden their professional and cultural exposure.

The initiative forms part of the Ministry's Teacher and Administrator Holistic Upgrading priority, a program aimed at strengthening the knowledge, professional capacity, motivation, and overall development of educators who play a central role in improving learning outcomes across Liberia.

During the exchange, participating teachers were introduced to China's education system, including its teaching and learning methodologies, mentorship practices, and broader cultural context. Organizers say the program offers a rare opportunity for teachers stationed outside Monrovia to engage in international professional development and to carry the lessons learned back to their schools and communities.

Johnson's certification is expected to add value to Kpanay Town Public School and to education delivery in Grand Bassa County more broadly, as the Ministry continues efforts to elevate teacher capacity in rural areas through global partnerships.

Dear fellow students, especially our WASSCE candidates,
I want to encourage everyone to take heart, remain calm, and hold your peace concerning the reports currently circulating about the 2026 WASSCE results of Kpanay Town Public High School.
As students, it is understandable that we may feel worried, disappointed, or even afraid after seeing reports claiming that many of our colleagues failed. However, we must remember that the information being circulated has been described as unconfirmed. Therefore, we should not allow fear, social media reports, or rumors to determine our emotions before we receive the official results from the appropriate authorities.
Let us patiently wait for the Education Office, WAEC, or our school administration to officially clarify the situation and provide the authentic results.
To every candidate: please don't lose hope. Your examination result does not define your intelligence, your future, or your ability to succeed in life. Whatever the final outcome may be, we will face it together, learn from it, and continue moving forward.
Let us avoid spreading unverified information and instead encourage one another.
Stay calm. Stay hopeful. Hold your peace. Wait for the official results.
