"As we stand on the brink of a new term, I wish to extend my warmest best wishes to all students and teachers," stated Hon. Radrodro. "Term 2 is the most crucial part of the academic year, as it involves intensive syllabus coverage, the completion of Years 12 and 13 subject projects, and preparation for external examinations."

The Education Minister reminded students that Term 2 offers an opportunity to build upon the knowledge and skills acquired in Term 1. “Embrace the challenges ahead, engage actively in your studies, and remember that the effort you put forth now will shape your future,” he said.

Hon. Radrodro also encouraged students to seek support when needed and take full advantage of the academic and welfare assistance provided by the government.

"To our teachers, your passion for teaching and tireless dedication form the backbone of a child’s success. As you guide students through this pivotal term, I urge you to inspire curiosity, creativity, and resilience in your classrooms."
"Your role extends beyond academic instruction, you are mentors and role models whose influence shapes the values and attitudes of our youth."

The Minister further highlighted the importance of parental and guardian involvement in a child’s learning journey. “Your encouragement, guidance, and communication with teachers form a strong partnership that reinforces the importance of education in our children’s lives. Continue to engage with and support their ambitions.”

In addition to academic demands, Hon. Radrodro noted that Term 2 also includes a wide range of extracurricular activities such as Cadet training and inter-school sports competitions. "Students are encouraged to participate in these activities, but must also learn to balance their academic responsibilities with discipline and time management."

Teachers returned to their respective schools for preparation earlier today (Monday, 19/05), and students will begin classes tomorrow (Tuesday, 20/05).

#15 Ilaisa Drosese Fiji Rugby

Ilaisa Drosese started off playing Football for Ba Sangam Primary School and then joined A.D Patel College, Varadoli, Ba He then moved to Cuvu College Sigatoka where he found his love of playing Rugby.

Ilaisa scored the winning goal for Ba Primary- at the Primary School Courts IDC 2012, under the guidance of Master Timoci Jim Seru.

He also represented YCF Club in the Ba local league.

“He was natural born athlete. He was highly skilled, had flair and showed individual brilliance when the team needed one. A very dedicated player and an all rounder.” - Timoce (coach)
