We often see 'bad' as a final grade, but in leadership and communication, it's just raw material. This meeting, 'The Art of the Bad Idea,' focuses on learning how to analyze our awkward moments and stumbling blocks, turning them from sources of shame into sources of strength.

On Monday, 13th July 2026, we proudly hosted the 40th Meeting of the United Tractors Toastmasters Club, led by our Toastmaster of the Day, TM Gayan Maldeniya.

We were especially honored to welcome our newly appointed Area Director, Division H Area 1, TM Abhith Perera, who visited our club for the first time. His presence, encouragement, and support made the meeting even more memorable.

The meeting was filled with inspiration, learning, and personal growth through:
🎤 Two impactful Prepared Speeches – an engaging speech by TM Kavinda and an inspiring Ice Breaker Speech by TM Supun.
💬 Engaging Table Topics that challenged members to think on their feet.
🤝 An interactive Round Robin Session that encouraged creativity and participation.
🎯 Insightful Evaluations that helped every speaker grow through constructive feedback.

📖 Word of the Day: Transcend – To go beyond or rise above the usual limits.

Every meeting reminds us that growth happens one speech, one evaluation, and one challenge at a time. Together, we continue our journey from Good to Great by building confident communicators and inspiring leaders.

As the final meeting of the 2025/26 Toastmasters year, our 38th meeting took us on a meaningful journey of focus, purpose, and the pursuit of excellence in communication and leadership. It reminded us that small, intentional actions can lead to remarkable growth—both on the stage and in everyday life.
TMOD Muditha Hapuarachchi led a vibrant and well-organized meeting, supported by the outstanding teamwork of all the role players. The prepared speeches delivered by TM Omali, TM Kavinda, and our special guest, TM Gishan from PIM Toastmasters Club, made the session even more engaging and inspiring.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed their time, effort, and positive energy. Together, we made this final meeting of the Toastmasters year a truly memorable and successful one.

Division H - District 82 - Toastmasters International

United Tractors Toastmasters Club – Chapter 2025/26 Successfully Closed .🎉💐

The Annual General Meeting was held on 22nd June 2026. Immediate past president TM Muditha Hapuarachchi served as the Nomination Chair and the Executive Committee for the 2026/27 Toastmasters year was officially appointed.

Current President, TM Gayan Maldeniya, presented the year end report highlighting the key milestones and achievements throughout the 2025/26. As the Vice President Public Relations, Sachini Jayasinghe showcased a creative video highlighting memorable moments captured over the last 12 months.

The celebration concluded with a cheering cake-cutting, where all members celebrated joy and success of achieving Select Distinguished Status for the year 2025/2026.

This is a result of sheer commitment of each and every member of the club with many thanks for each mamber.

A heartfelt thank you to the outgoing Executive Committee under the outstanding leadership of President Gayan Maldeniya, and with the invaluable guidance of our Charter President and Immediate Past President, Muditha Hapuarachchi.

Further special thanks to Chairman, CEO, COO and top management of UTE For believing the club. The club has demonstrated what it truly means to grow, learn, and succeed as one team.
