கனகராயன்குளப்பகுதியில் யானை ஒன்று மின்சாரம் வைக்கப்பட்டு கொல்லப்பட்டுள்ளது. வடபகுதியின் உல்லாசப்பயணத்துறை வெற்றிகரமாக விரிவுபடுத்தப்படுவதற்கு இப்பிரதேசத்தின் காட்டு விலங்குகளும் இன்றியமையாதவை. அவற்றை நாம் குறுகிய சிந்தனையுடன் உடனடித் தேவைகளுக்காக இவ்வாறு அழிப்பதை நிறுத்திக்கொள்ளவேண்டும். எதிர்கால சந்ததியினருக்கு பாலைவனத்தை அன்றி ஒரு வளமான நாட்டை விட்டுச் செல்வோம்.
A wild elephant has been killed by electrocution in the Kanagarayankulam area.
If we are to develop tourism in the North, wildlife of the area will be indispensable. We should not shortsightedly destroy them for immediate petty gains. We shall leave a resourceful country for our future generations, not a desert.
