The UGAA Emergency Disaster Relief program achieved another milestone today, successfully dispatching its Batch 02 of critical supplies aimed at supporting vulnerable women and children affected by the recent floods.

The consignment, packed with children's and women's dignity, health, and sanitation essentials, was officially handed over to representatives of the charitable organisation Stronger Than Ditwah for immediate distribution.

UGAA extended its deepest gratitude to all the donors and volunteers in contributing to this noble cause. Let's rebuild our nation with unity again.

Our relief efforts focusing on children and women's dignity, health, and sanitation essentials for flood-affected families are actively underway.

The contribution ensures essential supplies like Sanitary Pads, Baby Diapers, Basic Medicines (e.g., Panadol Syrup), and Cereals reach those who need them most.

Today, 1st of December 2025, UGAA successfully distributed essential meal packs to SEUSL undergraduates staying in hostels, upon the students' request.

In addition, UGAA representatives held discussions with the undergraduates to assess their ongoing needs. The Association has publicly committed to extending any further necessary support that may arise in this critical period.

The UGAA extends its profound gratitude to all generous donors and dedicated volunteers whose invaluable contributions made this rapid response possible.

நீங்கள் இருக்கும் இடம் பாதுகாப்பாக இருப்பின், அங்கேயே இருங்கள். ஊருக்கு செல்ல முற்படாதீர்கள்! குறிப்பாக கொழும்பில் இருப்பவர்கள் வடக்கு, கிழக்கு, மத்திய என்று இலங்கை வரைபடத்தில் கொழும்புக்கு மேல் இருக்கும் எந்த இடத்திற்கும் செல்ல முடியாது. அங்கு இருப்பவர்கள் கொழும்புக்கு வரவும் முடியாது. யக்கல பாதை மூடப்பட்டுள்ளது; நீர்கொழும்பு பாதையை பயன்படுத்த முடியாது, நீரின் மட்டம் உயர்ந்துள்ளது. அதிவேக பாதையை பயன்படுத்தினாலும், மீரிகம பகுதியில் Block இருப்பதாக செய்திகள் கிடைத்தன. மனம்பிட்டிய பாலம் வெள்ளத்தால் மூழ்கியுள்ளது; வாகரை ஊடாக மட்டக்களப்பு செல்ல முடியுமாக இருந்தாலும், அப் பாதையின் பாதுகாப்பை உறுதிப்படுத்த முடியாதுள்ளது. இண்டு மூன்று நாட்கள் பொறுத்திருங்கள்; பிரார்த்தனைகளோடு இருப்போம்!
