📖 Sahih al-Bukhari for Kids | Kitab al-Adab | Hadith 5973

Our words have consequences. 💜

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

"It is one of the greatest sins that a man should curse his parents."
(Sahih al-Bukhari 5973)

The companions asked, "How can someone curse his own parents?"

The Prophet ﷺ explained that when a person insults another person's parents, that person may insult his parents in return. In this way, he becomes the cause of his own parents being abused.

This hadith teaches us an important lesson:
🌸 Think before you speak.
🌸 Never insult or mock others.
🌸 Respect every family.
🌸 Speak with kindness and good manners.

As Muslims, we protect the honor of our parents not only by how we treat them, but also by how we treat everyone else.

May Allah bless us with beautiful manners, protect our tongues from harmful words, and make us among those who honor and respect their parents. Āmīn. 🤲

📖 Sahih al-Bukhari for Kids | Kitab al-Adab | Hadith 5972
Sometimes the greatest struggle isn't far away—it's right at home. ❤️
A man asked the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ if he should go for Jihad. The Prophet ﷺ first asked, "Are your parents alive?" When the man replied, "Yes," the Prophet ﷺ said:
"Then strive in serving them."
(Sahih al-Bukhari 5972)
This hadith teaches us that when our parents need our care, helping and serving them is among the greatest acts of worship. Carrying their groceries, bringing them water, helping around the house, speaking kindly, and making du'a for them are all beloved deeds to Allah.
🌿 Every small act of kindness for your parents is a step closer to Allah's pleasure.
May Allah grant us the ability to honor our parents, serve them with love, and reward them with the highest place in Jannah. Āmīn. 🤲

A man asked the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ: "Who deserves the best companionship from me?"
The Prophet ﷺ replied:
💖 Your mother.
💖 Your mother.
💖 Your mother.
🤍 Then your father.
This beautiful hadith reminds us of the immense love, care, and sacrifices of our mothers, while also teaching us to honor and respect both of our parents.
🌷 Be gentle with your parents.
🤲 Make du'a for them every day.
😊 Speak kindly, obey them in what is good, and thank them for everything they do.
Allah loves those who show kindness to their parents.

🌙 Thursday Night Reminder: Surah Al-Kahf
