The Faculty of Applied Sciences (FAS) is one among the four faculties of the South Eastern University of Sri Lanka (SEUSL).
The FAS of the SEUSL was established in 1997 at Sammanthurai. It consists of three departments namely Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences and Mathematical Sciences.

පිපුන මල් පර වෙලා..
අලුත් මල් කැකුළු අතු..
දස අතින් පිබිදිලා..
හමා එන මද පවනේ..
සුවඳ ගොඩ දැවටිලා..
හිත පුරා දළුලන්න..
නව හැඟුම් එක්වෙලා...
මේ වසරේ බිඳුනු සිත්..
සිනහවෙන් සරසවා..
ඇස් අස්සේ නැගි කඳුළු..
සතුටකට හරවලා...
එළඹෙනා නව වසරේ..
අලුත් මිනිසුන් වෙලා...
පිළිගනිමු නව වසර..
මද හසින් පේවීලා...."
සිංහල නක්ෂත්රයට අනුව සූර්යයා මීන රාශියෙන් මේෂ රාශියට සංක්රමණය වී උදා වූ නව වසර, ඔබ සැමට නිදුක් නිරෝගිමත්, සතුට ආදරය පිරුණු සුභ නව වසරකට අග්නියේ අපෙන් සුභ පැතුම්.🌞
