The inauguration ceremony of the Master of Teacher Education programme for the academic year 2025/2026 was held today, 29.12.2025, at the Faculty of Education, The Open University of Sri Lanka.
Prof. F. M. Nawastheen, Head of the Department; Dr. D. V. M. de Silva, Dean of the Faculty of Education; Dr. S. Katunanayaka, Senior Lecturer and Programme Coordinator; and Senior Professor S. P. Karunanayake, along with other academics, participated in the event. The teacher educators who are enrolled as students of the programme also attended the ceremony.
The programme highlights the importance of continuous professional learning in enhancing teaching practice, and we warmly congratulate all participants as they begin this important academic journey.
