The Lions Club of Nugegoda Centennial Stars was established in the year 2016, by the sheer efforts of the current president Lion Lady Dr. Kanthi Silva MJF, who was instrumental in pioneering many valuable community friendly projects for the welfare of the needy people. The Lions Club of Nugegoda Centennial Stars is proud to be reckoned by Lions Club International, USA, as the 1st International Club to be formed in Sri Lanka among five other clubs which were formed in the world during their 100th anniversary celebrating year of 2016/2017. The present club membership of Lions Club of Nugegoda Centennial Stars consists of Professionals from various fields to back the projects organized by the club in par with Lions Club International vision for the year 2017/2018. In par with our club theme and Lions Club International vision, the President and the Membership of the club has in its pipeline many upcoming projects to eradicate poverty, hunger and un-education and improve the living standards of under developed communities in the society. It is the anticipation by these communities for many years to fulfill their aspirations in there poor dwellings.Hence Lions Club of Nugegoda Centennial Stars has undertaken these uphill tasks for the current year, in order to enhance the Living standards of these communities and their well beings. NCS also has in its pipeline, programs to extend our heartiest support to patient’s sufferings from most deadly diseases like Cancer and Diabetic.
