๐ Dr. Sunil Kularatne was appointed as Vice Chancellor (Acting) of the University of Vocational Technology on 09 May 2025 by His Excellency the President. He is the Dean of the Faculty of Education at the University of Vocational Technology.
๐ Dr. Sunil Kularatne holds a Doctor of Education from Open University, Malaysia, specializing in Educational Management. He has earned an M.A. in Linguistics from the University of Kelaniya and a B.A. in English from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. With additional training as an English Specialist Trained Teacher at English Teachersโ College, Peradeniya,
๐ He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the field of English Language teaching and education. He is also certified in English Language Testing and Evaluation by the National Institute of Education (NIE), Maharagama, Sri Lanka with theoretical and practical exposure to excellence in language assessment and pedagogy.
๐ซ He has over forty years of experience in teaching and education administration in the secondary, tertiary level and TVET education having worked in schools, university colleges, technical institutes, and universities.
