🦒🦁A Three-Day Zoo Day Extravaganza Brings Joy and Learning to Young Minds
ACCIS Montessori celebrated International Children’s Day in a truly remarkable way this year by organising a three-day “Zoo Day Extravaganza”, an event filled with excitement, discovery, and hands-on learning. The grand celebration took place from the 1st to the 3rd of October 2025, transforming the Montessori premises into a lively and realistic zoo environment.
The much-awaited event was inaugurated on the 1st of October by the Managing Director of ACCIS International Campus, Mr. SHH. Nizar, together with the Coordinator of ACCIS Montessori, Mr. Harees Abdul Cader in the presence of distinguished guests, teachers, and our eager little learners. The colourful opening ceremony marked the beginning of an unforgettable experience that beautifully blended education, entertainment, and exploration.
Planned meticulously over a period of six months, the Zoo Day Extravaganza was the brainchild of the dedicated teachers, led by the coordinator, Mr. Harees Abdul Cader, who sought to bring the wonders of the animal world closer to the children. Since access to a real zoo is limited in our Kalkudah region, this creative initiative offered children the unique opportunity to “visit the zoo” within their own Montessori, and that was our main objective of the program.
For the first two days, the event was exclusively enjoyed by more than 180 students of our Montessori from all the four classes named Lily, Lotus, Sunflower and LKG who immersed themselves in observing, learning, and interacting through various creative displays and live exhibits. The final day was opened to the public, attracting visitors, families, friends and neighbouring institutions and schools who admired the effort, creativity, and educational value behind the event.
Each section of the Montessori was thoughtfully decorated to resemble different zones of a zoo, completely with realistic animal setups, sound effects, and informative displays and presentations prepared by the teachers and parents. The children were thrilled to “explore” the animal kingdom, gaining valuable knowledge while experiencing the joy of discovery.
The event stood as a testament to teamwork, dedication, and innovative teaching. The unwavering support of parents and the tireless efforts of teachers made the Zoo Day Extravaganza a grand success — one that will be remembered fondly by everyone involved.
This creative celebration not only brought smiles to the faces of young learners but also highlighted the Montessori’s commitment to providing meaningful and joyful learning experiences that nurture curiosity and love for nature.
